Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week Concludes Its Most Successful Edition to Date

Organized by Fira de Barcelona with support from the Department of Enterprise and Labor of the Government of Catalonia, this year’s BBFW brought together nearly 450 brands, 82% of them from abroad, and welcomed more than 23,500 visitors. The 44 designers presenting their 2026 collections took to the runway at Montjuïc’s Hall 8, a venue making its debut for the event.

International visitors accounted for 76% of total attendance, maintaining the share achieved last year. Among them were key buyers with high purchasing power from 82 countries, particularly from strategic markets such as Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

“We are closing a remarkable edition today, having gathered the global bridal, evening wear, red carpet, and accessories fashion ecosystem in a larger space than ever before” said Albasarí Caro, BBFW Director. “The fashion shows, the trade exhibition, and the special events—from Barcelona Bridal Night to the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards gala—have truly brought together the elite of the industry, reinforcing Barcelona’s status as the essential global meeting point for bridal fashion.”

Vivienne Westwood Takes Center Stage
In its first-ever fashion show dedicated exclusively to its bridal line, iconic British fashion house Vivienne Westwood unveiled its 2026 Bridal Collection during the Barcelona Bridal Night. The brand’s signature artistry, romanticism, rebellious spirit, and theatrical flair mesmerized the over 500 guests gathered at the cloisters of the University of Barcelona.

Honoring Excellence in Bridal Fashion
The event also celebrated the third edition of the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards, recognizing the year’s most outstanding fashion houses. Isabel Sanchis, Lorena Formoso, and Ines Di Santo received accolades for Best Bridal Dress, Best Bridal Collection, and Best Red Carpet Collection, respectively. Stella McCartney was honored with a lifetime achievement award recognizing her distinguished career.

The premier event dedicated to bridal, groom, evening, and occasion wear, as well as accessories, will return to Fira de Barcelona from April 22 to 26, 2026, to present the bridal fashion collections for the upcoming season
