BARCELONA BRIDAL & FASHION AWARDS!

After four years of holding the Elle International Bridal Awards, creating a flagship venue for awards in the international fashion area, we have held our first Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards in 2023.

The awards ceremony turned the night of 22 April into a great party for the bridal and fashion industry.

She has been an editor, creative director, teacher, panel member... She has worked for fashion magazines such as Woman and Yo Dona and has contributed to numerous media outlets: Vogue Spain, Harper's Bazaar Spain, Marie Claire... Currently, she is the curator and artistic director of the Moritz Feed Dog Fashion Documentary Film Festival and lecturer in Masters' Degree programmes related to fashion at universities such as Ramon Llull, CEU San Pablo, UC3M and LCI Barcelona.

Internationally recognised as one of the world's leading bridal couture designers, Paula Varsalona has been at the forefront of the fashion industry for over 50 years. She is a founding member and board member of the IBMA (International Bridal Manufacturers Association) and has been awarded the DEBI Award for Excellence in the Bridal Industry. She currently teaches classes specialising in bridal and cocktail dresses at the FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York.

Galician fashion journalist and communications consultant based in Paris for the last decade, Triana Alonso has worked in industries as diverse as music, film and beauty. She is currently managing editor and heads the international editions of the French B2B fashion website FashionNetwork.com, published in 10 languages and 70 countries.

MANUEL OUTUMURO

Manuel Outumoro is the winner of several Laus Awards and the 2022 Lucie Award Achievement in Fashion Photography. He has photographed the first generation of Spanish top models coinciding with the arrival of the Spanish-language editions of the iconic international publications, in which he has published regularly: Marie Claire, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, in the Sunday supplement of La Vanguardia, and in particular in El País Semanal, to which he has been contributing for 30 years.

María José Gonzálvez is part of the editorial team at Vogue Mexico and Latin America as Fashion Associate, coordinates the magazine's fashion department and is in charge of fashion credits for Vogue US. She has collaborated with different creatives such as Tonne Goodman (Vogue US) and Dena Giannini (British Vogue) and has contributed to with Vogue Runway. Supporting Latin American talent is part of her mission, and she is always on the lookout for new worthwhile ideas.

Leticia is the fashion editor-in-chief of S Moda and fashion editor of El País. She has previously worked at La Vanguardia, Tentaciones and contributed to various fashion and lifestyle media outlets. She is the author of Batallón de modistillas: las mujeres olvidadas que construyeron la moda (Battalion of fashion designers: the forgotten women who built fashion) (ed. Carpe noctem).

Jen Campbell has worked as creative director of online, mobile and print design for brands such as ESPN, Yahoo!, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, The Venetian Las Vegas and Sony Electronics. In 2008 she founded Green Wedding Shoes to help couples plan weddings. She also currently designs her products in collaboration with brands such as Lovers Society, Show Me Your Mumu, Erin Condren and The Tie Bar.

GIOVANNI SPARACIO

Giovanni Sparacio has been working as a bridal journalist for magazines specialising in bridal fashion since 2002. In 2012, he joined the Elle Spose team and is currently in charge of the editorial side of the popular magazine and its website in Italy. His work gives him deep insight into the bridal fashion ateliers of both Italian and international brands, and he is present at all the fashion shows and events in the industry.

During her long and successful professional career, Albasarí Caro has focused on the internationalisation and expansion of bridal and ready-to-wear fashion companies. She has led growth and opening up new markets for renowned brands such as Bimba & Lola, Mango, Grupo Cortefiel (Tendam) and Pronovias, where she has been in charge of for the expansion of the international franchise network for the last 10 years.

Elisa De Wyngaert has worked for Belgian designers A.F.Vandevorst and contributed her fashion show reviews to both radio and print media. Since 2015, De Wyngaert has been a curator at the MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp, where she has curated several exhibitions and publications, including 'E/MOTION, Fashion in Transition' and 'Mirror Mirror. Fashion & the Psyche'.

Anna Frascisco has revolutionised the luxury event scene in Italy and remains firmly in the ranking of the top 10 Event and Wedding Planners in her country for the tenth consecutive year. She was nominated for the Elle International Bridal Awards 2018 and, in 2019, won in the Best World Wedding Planner category, becoming the first Italian professional to do so. She is a fashion icon both for brands and individuals.
